We are always looking for new places to try! Over the weekend our friends decided to meet us for shakes at the newly opened Zero Degrees. Based off of the name alone, we assumed ice cream was probably involved! We had no idea what else to expect and we were pleasantly surprised!
Zero Degrees is a very clean, modern, casual dining restaurant! The menu includes everything from boba teas, coffees, smoothies, snacks, and full meals. Our friends got the “Flamin’ Hot Cheese Fries,” which includes melted cheese and crushed up Flamin’ Hot Cheetos over crispy fries. It was intense!
We decided to get the Ube smoothie and Mangonada smoothie.
The Mangonada smoothie is a mango slush with chamoy, Tajin, and fresh mango chunks. If you enjoy mango with a little kick to it, this is definitely the treat for you! For less than $2, you can add the mango twists to the top. The mango twists add flavor and make the smoothie more fun! I don’t usually like mango mixed with other flavors, but this is good!
The Ube smoothie captured my interest the most because I had never heard of Ube before. Ube halaya is a Philippine dessert that comes from purple mashed up yams. I expected to taste the yams in the smoothie!
The lavender smoothie came out with whipped creme, sprinkles, a marshmallow rainbow, a rainbow sour belt, and a toasted marshmallow. The Ube reminded me of the homemade vanilla ice cream my family made growing up! It was delicious! I have a hard time eating my vegetables, I wish I could eat all my vegetables this way!
We cannot wait to go back to Zero Degrees to try out their other smoothies! Go check it out! The address is 6716 Forest Hill Blvd, Greenacres, FL 33413.
