West Palm Beach is the smallest of the three main cities on the east coast of South Florida with a population of over 110,222. It was established as a city on April 17, 1911 and has grown into a tourist hot-spot. As far as transportation, West Palm has trolleys in the downtown area and the Brightline train station. The Brightline has four train stations located in Orlando, West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, and Miami. The train is one of our newer efficient ways of traveling from one place to another without worrying about the heavy traffic on highway 95 or the Florida Turnpike.
The weather is warm and sunny most of the year and attracts tourists from all over the world. Downtown West Palm Beach always has something exciting going on! This South Florida city has the beautiful Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, a variety of restaurants, bars, shopping/entertainment, beaches, concert venues, and more! There are 210 schools in West Palm; this includes pre-schools, elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools.
West Palm Beach is proud to host annual events that attract people from all over the US and Florida. Every January-February West Palm hosts the South Florida Fair, it’s family-friendly and a lot of fun! When spring rolls around West Palm hosts the international boat show in March, everyone loves looking at all of the luxurious boats and yachts. In May, West Palm hosts a big music festival called Sunfest. This music festival lasts four days and artists from around the country are brought in, this is another family-friendly event! There are events constantly going on in West Palm Beach, there is never a dull moment!
